The Polish competition authority conducted an inspection of 15 models of clean and dirty water pumps. The results revealed that one-third of the models had construction defects, such as excessively short power cords or insufficient wire cross-sections, which could hinder safe usage and pose fire risks.

Additionally, over half of the inspected pumps were questioned due to errors in documentation or labeling. Issues included incomplete safety information, incorrect manufacturer details, poorly drafted user manuals, and non-compliance declarations.

Jagoda Kruszewska from the UOKiK Communication Department commented on the findings, emphasizing the importance of safety standards in consumer products.
