The Spanish competition authority, CNMC, has authorized eight merger operations in February, all cleared in the first phase without any commitments.

The Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) has approved eight merger operations during February, indicating a smooth regulatory process for these transactions.

Among the approved mergers, Bassac S. A. acquired joint control of Financière Ramsès I S. A. S., with no significant horizontal or vertical overlaps that could threaten competition.

Quartz Fibre Private Limited gained exclusive control of Owens Corning, a global manufacturer of fiberglass products, with no anticipated risks of portfolio effects from the merger.

Sapiencia Bidco, S. L. U. took exclusive control of Guadarrama Proyectos Educativos, with minimal overlaps in the private higher education sector.

Fiesta Hotels & Resorts, S. L. acquired Palatinus Mare, consolidating its position in the five-star hotel market in Ibiza, although competition remains robust in the area.

Other notable mergers include Ardian Expansion Fund VI acquiring Ermaxi Holding Investment, and CVC DIF taking control of Maganeto Servicios y Gestiones, both of which posed no significant competitive threats.

Neapco's acquisition of IFA Holdings and the joint control of Iberian Fair Farming by TH Ceres and Azora Capital were also approved, with minimal competitive concerns.
