The Czech competition authority, ÚOHS, has approved the acquisition of SPV RECYCLING CZ by CE Industries, allowing for exclusive control over the recycling firm. This decision was made through a simplified procedure and is now final.

Previously, CE Industries held joint control over SPV RECYCLING CZ, which specializes in the collection, processing, and recycling of waste materials. Following the sale of shares from Recycling - kovové odpady a.s., CE Industries will now have sole control.

CE Industries operates in various sectors including railway industry, energy, steel products, transport services, and storage. SPV RECYCLING CZ focuses on metal waste recycling, electronic waste processing, and ecological disposal of vehicles.

The authority concluded that the merger would not significantly disrupt competition in the market, leading to the approval of the transaction.
