Hanna Witt has been appointed as the acting director general of the Swedish Competition Authority, succeeding Rikard Jermsten.

Hanna Witt has been appointed as the acting director general and head of the Swedish Competition Authority by the government, starting from 1 October 2024. She takes over from Rikard Jermsten, who assumed the role of director general of the Swedish Economic Crime Authority on the same date.

With extensive experience at the Swedish Competition Authority, Hanna Witt previously served as the Deputy Director General and Chief Development Officer. She will hold the position of acting director general until a new regular director general is appointed by the government.
