The Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) has fined two technology consultancy multinationals for engaging in anticompetitive practices in the labor market between 2014 and 2022.

The AdC has sanctioned two technology consultancy multinationals for engaging in anticompetitive practices in the labor market, specifically through the use of no-poach agreements. These agreements restrict the hiring and mobility of employees, limiting competition and potentially reducing workers' bargaining power and wages. The companies cooperated with the AdC and accessed the settlement procedure, resulting in reduced fines. The case is still ongoing for other companies under investigation. The AdC has previously published a report and best practices guide to prevent such no-poach agreements.
