The Polish competition authority conducted an inspection of ten models of built-in induction cooktops after receiving signals from consumers regarding their safety and compliance. The inspection focused on the labeling, formal requirements, and construction of these appliances.

All models were found to be properly labeled; however, one model had an incorrect declaration of conformity, which the manufacturer has since rectified by supplementing the necessary documentation.

Laboratory tests revealed that three models exhibited faulty construction, as they could turn on by themselves when liquid was spilled or when a cloth was placed on them, failing to shut off within ten seconds. This poses a significant safety risk to consumers.
