The President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), Tomasz Chróstny, is leading a campaign to raise awareness about false investments exploiting the images of well-known individuals and companies. The campaign aims to educate consumers about the risks of online investment scams, emphasizing the importance of verifying investment opportunities to prevent financial losses. Media, institutions, and organizations are invited to join the initiative to combat rapidly growing cybercrimes related to fraudulent investments. The UOKiK campaign includes TV and radio spots, online graphics, and social media content, with the goal of promoting economic education and consumer protection. The initiative aligns with the World Consumer Rights Day and the Year of Economic Education in 2024.
