This decision was made on September 10, 2026, allowing the company to obtain rental rights for the space previously occupied by SIA 'SKAI BALTIJA'.

VITA markets operates in the retail sector, specifically in non-specialized stores selling everyday consumer goods under the ELVI brand. The former SKY store was engaged in similar retail activities, focusing on daily consumer products.

The authority assessed the merger's impact on the retail market for food and everyday consumer goods, considering various store sizes and geographical areas. No concerns were raised regarding a deterioration of competition, leading to an open conclusion on specific products and market boundaries.

Additionally, KP evaluated the related markets for purchasing everyday consumer goods and the wholesale market for ready-made food, leaving the exact geographical scope open. The authority concluded that the merger would not significantly alter market structure, reduce competition, or create or strengthen a dominant position in any relevant market, thus allowing the merger to proceed.
