The Polish Competition Authority (UOKiK) issued Decision No DKK-65/2026 on March 9, 2026, approving the merger between PGE Energia Ciepła S.A. and Gdańskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej sp. z o.o. This decision follows an antitrust investigation initiated at the request of the two companies.

The merger will result in the establishment of a joint enterprise, as outlined in the application submitted by the parties. The authority noted that the decision fully meets the requests of the involved parties and does not resolve any disputed interests, nor was it issued as a result of an appeal.
