On June 5, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Competition Authority, in the exercise of the powers conferred upon it by paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 19 of the Statutes, approved by Decree-Law no. 125/2014, of 18 August, decides to adopt a decision of non-opposition to the concentration operation, under the terms of paragraph b) of number 1 of article 50 of the Competition Law, since it is not susceptible to create significant impediments to effective competition in the national market or in a substantial part of it.

Portuguese Competition Authority Approves Salvador Caetano and Grupo Multimoto Merger

On June 5, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) issued a non-opposition decision regarding the merger between Salvador Caetano and Grupo Multimoto.

 This decision was made under the authority granted by the relevant statutory provisions, specifically paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 19 of the Statutes established by Decree-Law no. 125/2014.

 The AdC concluded that the merger does not pose significant obstacles to effective competition within the national market or in a substantial part of it, allowing the companies to proceed with their consolidation.
