The Portuguese competition authority has cleared the merger between Helix and Knorr-Bremse, determining it will not hinder competition in the market.

On September 21, 2026, the Board of Directors of the Portuguese competition authority, known as AdC, made a significant decision regarding the merger operation Ccent/2026/69 involving Helix and Knorr-Bremse.

After reviewing the merger, the authority concluded that it would not create significant obstacles to effective competition within the national market or in a substantial part of it. This decision was made in accordance with the provisions of the Competition Law.

The approval reflects the authority's commitment to maintaining a competitive market environment while allowing for necessary business consolidations that do not harm competition.
