On June 13, 2025, the Greek competition authority held a meeting where it unanimously approved the acquisition of joint control by AKTOR RENEWABLES and GREEN LINE over SUN FORCE ONE, as per decision number 882/2025.

AKTOR RENEWABLES is a subsidiary of the AKTOR Group, focusing on the development and management of renewable energy projects for electricity production. GREEN LINE operates in the renewable energy sector, primarily involved in the construction and maintenance of photovoltaic parks. SUN FORCE ONE, established in November 2024, is engaged in electricity production from renewable sources.

This transaction will change the control of SUN FORCE ONE from exclusive control by GREEN LINE to joint control by both AKTOR RENEWABLES and GREEN LINE.

The concentration pertains to the markets for the construction of electricity production units and the wholesale production and supply of electricity. The geographical market for the construction of electricity production units is defined as the entire Greek territory, while the wholesale electricity production and supply market is also defined as the entire Greek territory, distinguishing between interconnected and non-interconnected systems.

The competition authority concluded that there are no affected markets at either horizontal or vertical levels due to the concentration. Therefore, despite falling under the scope of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of Law 3959/2011, the concentration does not raise serious doubts regarding its compatibility with competition requirements in the relevant markets.
