The Polish competition authority has conducted an inspection of car jacks, specifically trapezoidal models with a lifting capacity of up to 2 tons. The inspection revealed that 13 out of the 15 models tested had significant defects.

Among these, 11 models exhibited critical flaws in their load-bearing structure, cranks, or lifting mechanisms. Such defects pose a serious risk of sudden vehicle drops during use, which could lead to severe injuries.

The authority emphasizes the importance of checking the permissible load and following the operating instructions before using any car jack to ensure safety.
