Mercator's Withdrawal from Engrotuš Acquisition Not Yet Notified to Competition Agency

Mercator, owned by Fortenova's Pavao Vujnovac, reportedly informed Engrotuš about withdrawing from the acquisition deal, but the Competition Agency has not been officially notified yet.

The Competition Agency has learned from the media that Mercator, owned by Fortenova's Pavao Vujnovac, has informed Engrotuš about withdrawing from the acquisition deal. However, the Agency has not received an official notification of this withdrawal from the parties involved in the concentration.

As a result, the Competition Agency will continue its assessment of the concentration until further notice. The reasons behind Mercator's decision to withdraw from acquiring Engrotuš have not been commented on by the Agency, as it is not within its jurisdiction to do so.
