The Portuguese competition authority has cleared the merger between Grupo Bel and several other companies, determining it will not hinder competition in the market.

On August 27, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Portuguese competition authority, known as AdC, made a significant decision regarding the concentration operation 63/2025 involving Grupo Bel and its partners Grudisul, Alcigarve, T.L.L., and S&R.

The authority exercised its powers under the relevant statutory provisions and concluded that the merger would not create significant obstacles to effective competition within the national market or in a substantial part of it.

This non-opposition decision indicates that the merger is unlikely to negatively impact market dynamics, allowing the involved parties to proceed with their plans without further regulatory hurdles.
