Belgian Competition Authority Receives Merger Notification from Abeloos, Vanspringel, and De Groof
The Belgian competition authority has received a merger notification involving the creation of a joint venture by Vanspringel EVO, Feniks Automotive, and Immo Central, which may be processed under a simplified procedure.

On November 28, 2025, the Belgian competition authority's auditor general received a merger notification concerning a proposed concentration under Article IV.10, § 1 of the Economic Code.
The merger involves the companies Vanspringel EVO, Feniks Automotive, and Immo Central, which are the parent companies of the Vanspringel, Abeloos, and De Groof groups, respectively. They plan to create a joint venture.
This concentration pertains to several sectors, including retail trade of cars and light vehicles (<= 3.5 tons), general maintenance and repair of cars and light vehicles, wholesale trade of cars and light vehicles, body repair (including painting), retail trade of vehicle parts and accessories, and specialized tire services.
In accordance with Article IV.70, §1 of the Economic Code, the notifying party has requested the application of the simplified procedure. The auditor invites interested third parties to submit their observations regarding the proposed concentration, preferably before December 3, 2025.
