The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has finalized a consent order requiring Adamas Amenity Services LLC and its affiliates to stop enforcing no-hire agreements. This decision aims to enhance labor market conditions for workers in New Jersey and New York City.

The FTC's allegations indicated that Adamas implemented anticompetitive no-hire agreements, which prevented building owners and management companies from hiring employees currently working for Adamas without incurring significant penalties. Such practices hindered workers' abilities to negotiate for better wages, benefits, and working conditions.

The consent order mandates that Adamas immediately cease all enforcement of existing no-hire agreements and notify both customers and employees that these agreements are now null and void. Additionally, the order includes stringent compliance and monitoring requirements that will be in effect for ten years.

After a public comment period, the Commission voted 2-0 to approve the final order, reinforcing the FTC's commitment to promoting fair labor practices.
