The Luxembourg Competition Authority has achieved a notable 4th place in the perception of independence among national competition authorities in the EU, as reported in the 2025 Justice Dashboard. This dashboard, which is a new addition to the EU's rule of law toolkit, includes a graphic that illustrates how businesses view the independence of these authorities.

This ranking is based on an Eurobarometer survey conducted by the Directorate-General for Justice, which gathered insights from companies across all EU member states. The high ranking of the Luxembourg authority highlights the significant efforts made by both the legislator and the authority itself to establish its financial and administrative independence since the implementation of the competition law on November 30, 2022.

The EU Justice Dashboard serves as an annual overview of indicators related to the effectiveness, quality, and independence of judicial systems across member states. Its primary goal is to assist member countries in enhancing the efficiency of their national justice systems by providing objective, reliable, and comparable data.
