The President of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has initiated proceedings against AzaGroup, the owner of online stores Renee.pl and Born2Be.pl, for potentially misleading promotions.

The UOKiK has raised concerns about how promotions are presented on Renee.pl and Born2Be.pl, specifically regarding the lack of information on the lowest price 30 days prior to a discount and the exclusive attractive prices advertised only for loyalty program members.

The President of UOKiK, Tomasz Chróstny, highlighted that the companies must comply with the revised regulations on price information disclosure, including showing the lowest price before a promotion, as required by the Omnibus Directive.

The UOKiK has accused AzaGroup of failing to present the lowest price from the last 30 days, not informing consumers clearly about prices, and potentially misleading consumers by offering discounts only to loyalty club members.
