In December 2025 and January 2026, the Greek Competition Authority (ΕΑ) held seminars for judicial officials under the CompEUte project, which is funded by the European Union.

The CompEUte initiative aims to equip judges with the skills necessary to address behaviors that undermine healthy competition and affect the smooth functioning of the digital single market in the EU.

This project is implemented by the Themistocles & Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation – Center for European Constitutional Law, with support from the National School of Judges (ΕΣΔΙ) and the ΕΑ.

The three rounds of training seminars took place at the offices of the ΕΑ and the ΕΣΔΙ, tailored to the participants' familiarity levels, and aimed to enhance judges' knowledge and skills in applying EU competition law in rapidly evolving digital markets.

The training focused on linking theoretical knowledge with examples from the case law of the General Court of the European Union, the Court of Justice of the European Union, national courts, as well as practices from the European Commission and the ΕΑ.

During the seminars, the President of the ΕΑ, Ms. A. Sharp, presented on managing complex competition cases, while the Head of the Legal Department, Ms. N. Skandali, discussed public enforcement of competition law, abuse of dominance, and merger control. The Head of the Legal Division, Ms. E. Karkani, focused on applying competition provisions in digital markets, and the Vice President of the ΕΑ, Ms. H. Nikolopoulou, addressed new objectives in competition law.
