The Polish competition authority has recently completed inspections on ten models of electric gardening equipment, including six lawn mowers and three multifunctional devices (aerator/verticutter) along with one verticutter. The inspections aimed to ensure the safety and compliance of these products with established standards.
During the review, it was found that the multifunctional devices had an excessively long stopping time for the blades after being turned off, which could lead to potential safety hazards for users. Additionally, one of the lawn mowers was discovered to have incorrect documentation, raising concerns about its compliance with safety regulations.
In light of these findings, the authority emphasizes the importance of consumer safety when purchasing gardening equipment. They advise consumers to look for the CE mark, read the user manuals carefully, and adhere to safety instructions. Furthermore, they recommend wearing protective eyewear, sturdy footwear, and clothing that covers the body while operating such equipment.
