On September 3, 2026, the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) granted approval for Falcon Trade SA to acquire sole control over the Michaël Mazuin group. This acquisition pertains to the automotive distribution sector, where Falcon Trade operates through five dealerships representing brands such as Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT, CUPRA, and Audi.
The Michaël Mazuin group consists of two entities: Mazuin Fosses SA, an authorized dealer for the aforementioned brands, and Michaël Mazuin Sports SA, which focuses on motorcycles and related equipment. The BCA assessed the acquisition's impact on various markets, including the retail sale and maintenance of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
After thorough analysis, the BCA determined that the acquisition would not significantly impede competition in the Belgian market, particularly in the maintenance and repair services for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as there are sufficient alternative providers available.
