The Polish competition authority has announced a new contest aimed at high school students in the Łódź region, encouraging them to create multimedia projects that address online safety and the risks associated with digital shopping.
Students can submit their work in one of three categories: cyberattack prevention, dropshipping, and manipulative sales practices known as dark patterns. The projects can take the form of a video, music clip, or animation, with a maximum length of 90 seconds.
Participants are encouraged to incorporate various elements such as drawings, photos, and sounds, with a recommended resolution of 1920 x 1080. Submissions can be sent on a USB drive or CD to the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Łódź or delivered in person.
The deadline for submissions is March 24, and the results will be announced by April 29, 2025. The contest is organized by the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Łódź, with support from the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Łódź Voivode, and the Łódź Education Superintendent.
