Denmark appoints Rights Alliance as the first reliable reporter under the Digital Services Act to combat illegal online content, with a focus on intellectual property rights violations and other commercial rights.

The Competition and Consumer Authority in Denmark has established a collaboration with other European authorities to address illegal online content, screening and referring significant cases to the EU Commission for further action.

The Rights Alliance, specializing in intellectual property rights infringements, has been designated as the first reliable reporter in Denmark under the Digital Services Act to assist in identifying and reporting illegal content online.

The Danish DSA Authority oversees compliance with the DSA rules for digital service providers established in Denmark, receiving and processing complaints related to potential violations, particularly involving major tech companies.

Complaints handled include cases of hacked user accounts leading to suspensions without explanation, as well as instances where users reported illegal content to platforms that were not addressed.

Aside from complaint handling, the DSA Authority guides Danish businesses and consumers on the regulations, participates in meetings with other EU countries' authorities, and has set up a 'Forum for Digital Services' involving relevant stakeholders.
