The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) is currently investigating the merger between Saferoad, Cleanosol, and Tiemerkintä A & E, which involves Norwegian company Saferoad acquiring two Finnish competitors in the road marking services market.

On December 19, 2025, the FCCA initiated an in-depth investigation, expressing concerns that the merger could negatively impact competition in the road marking services sector in Finland. This includes potential adverse effects on tenders awarded by Economic Development Centres and municipalities.

To address these concerns, the parties involved are preparing commitments. On March 18, 2026, the FCCA requested an extension of the processing time limit, which was set to expire on April 2, 2026. The Market Court approved this extension on March 19, 2026, allowing the review to continue until May 8, 2026.
