The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has announced that it has submitted a draft Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) concerning online food delivery service fees to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) for review.

This submission is in accordance with Executive Orders 12866 and 14215, which mandate that all significant regulatory actions proposed by executive branch departments and agencies must be reviewed by OIRA. The OIRA has classified the planned ANPRM as a significant regulatory action, necessitating this review before the FTC can proceed with issuing it.

The Commission's decision to refer the ANPRM to the OMB was made with a vote of 2-0, indicating a consensus among the commissioners on the importance of addressing the regulatory framework surrounding online food delivery service fees.
