The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has provided feedback on the Northern Ireland Department of Education's consultation regarding the implementation of statutory guidance for school uniform policies. The aim is to help parents and carers manage the costs associated with school uniforms.

The CMA endorses measures to reduce expenses by limiting branded items and single supplier agreements in school uniform policies. They also offer insights on proposals for cost control mechanisms, like implementing a price cap to further alleviate financial burdens on families.
