The European Union (EU) recently completed a nearly five-year technical assistance project in Kosovo, focusing on enhancing competition policy and state aid regulation. The project involved collaboration with the Kosovo Competition Authority and the Kosovo State Aid Supervision Commission, with the goal of aligning Kosovo's legal framework with EU standards. The project included activities such as reviewing and amending legislation, providing training and seminar support, and sharing EU institutions' experiences in competition policy and state aid. The Competition Council played a significant role in providing assistance and capacity-building to Kosovo's competition authorities. The project, implemented in partnership with GOPA PACE, aimed to improve Kosovo's competition policy and state aid legal framework to meet EU standards.
