The Austrian competition authority (AFCA) has concluded its investigation into G4S Secure Solutions GmbH, which was involved in anti-competitive behavior related to price fixing and coordination in the personnel security services market.
The infringement took place from August 2019 to November 2022, during which G4S engaged in the exchange of sensitive information with a competitor across three tenders for non-public clients.
G4S applied for leniency under the AFCA's leniency program, fully cooperating with the authority to clarify the facts of the case. As a result of this cooperation, the AFCA decided not to impose a fine but requested that the Cartel Court confirm the infringement.
The leniency program allows companies that actively assist in uncovering cartels to receive reduced fines or avoid fines altogether, provided they cooperate truthfully and promptly with the investigation.
