The Bundeskartellamt has granted approval for the formation of a joint venture involving Hensoldt Sensors GmbH, Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, Plath GmbH & Co. KG, and General Dynamics European Land Systems-Bridge Systems GmbH. This joint venture is aimed at addressing a complex procurement project from the German Federal Ministry of Defence for electronic warfare systems.

According to Andreas Mundt, President of the Bundeskartellamt, investigations revealed that the participating companies would likely be unable to meet the project's requirements without collaborating in a joint venture. This cooperation enables them to submit a viable offer and execute the project if awarded.

The Bundeswehr has specific requirements for the weapon systems to be procured, necessitating collaboration among the companies. The cooperation is limited to this particular project and is not expected to adversely affect competition among the involved companies.
