The Czech competition authority has published its regular monthly newsletter, detailing important decisions made in August regarding anticompetitive behavior, resulting in fines totaling over half a billion koruna.

Among the notable cases, a cartel involving voucher publishers was fined 279 million koruna, while HP Tronic faced a penalty of 38.9 million koruna for price-fixing agreements. Additionally, preliminary fines of 280.6 million koruna were imposed on SHERLOG and O2 Czech Republic for a prohibited customer allocation agreement.

The newsletter also introduces a new section titled 'Public Procurement Under Scrutiny,' which will focus on interesting cases and violations related to public procurement oversight.

Furthermore, the authority invites participation in upcoming professional events, particularly the St. Martin's Conference, for which registration has recently opened.
