The Polish competition authority has recently completed inspections of 12 models of baby cribs, including travel cribs. The inspections uncovered significant construction defects in four models, posing risks such as the possibility of a child falling out or getting trapped by their head or hands.

Additionally, the authority examined 17 models of pacifiers and their attachments. Two of these attachments were found to be excessively long, too thin, or had beads that were too small, creating real risks of choking or suffocation for infants.

As a result of these findings, proceedings are underway regarding the models with serious defects, which could lead to fines of up to 1 million PLN and the withdrawal of these products from the market.
