The Latvian competition authority, known as KP, has received a merger notification from SIA AMIC Latvia concerning the acquisition of usage rights over assets leased to AS VIADA Baltija. These assets include fuel filling stations and the Olaines oil depot.

SIA AMIC Latvia is a company registered in Latvia, primarily engaged in the leasing and management of real estate and other assets. It owns fuel filling stations and related assets, which are leased to AS VIADA Baltija.

AS VIADA Baltija operates in the retail fuel sector, managing 102 fuel filling stations across Latvia. In addition to fuel, these stations offer quick snacks, hot beverages, essential goods, and other services related to their operations.

According to SIA AMIC Latvia, the activities of the merger participants do not overlap, indicating that the merger will not affect any markets.

The KP is required to make a decision on the merger's approval, prohibition, or conditional approval within one month of receiving the notification. If a more in-depth investigation is necessary, the decision period may be extended up to three months from the notification date.

Market participants or other interested parties wishing to provide feedback on the merger's impact on competition are invited to contact KP economist Elija Ķerpi by August 26, 2026, or fill out the provided questionnaire.
