The Autorité de la concurrence has approved La Française des Jeux's acquisition of Kindred Group, subject to conditions ensuring separation between monopoly and competitive activities, particularly in terms of branding.

La Française des Jeux (FDJ) notified the Autorité de la concurrence of its plan to acquire Kindred Group, which was cleared subject to conditions to address competition concerns.

FDJ, with exclusive rights in France for lottery and sports betting, acquired Kindred, active in the same sector in Europe, raising conglomerate risks due to their related online betting activities.

To mitigate risks, FDJ committed to separate its monopoly and competitive activities, including marketing competitive games under distinct brands not linked to its monopoly games.
