The Czech competition authority, known as ÚOHS, has granted approval for the merger between Toyota Fudosan Co., Ltd. and Toyota Industries Corporation, Ltd. This merger will enable Toyota Fudosan to indirectly gain exclusive control over Toyota Industries.

The companies involved operate in various sectors, including the production and sale of handling equipment, automobiles, automotive parts, and textile machinery. Toyota Fudosan is primarily engaged in real estate management in Japan, while Toyota Industries focuses on manufacturing handling equipment and automotive products.

In the Czech Republic, Toyota Industries operates through several subsidiaries, particularly in logistics solutions and component supply. The authority assessed the transaction under a simplified procedure and concluded that the merger would not significantly disrupt competition in the market.

The decision to approve the merger is now final and binding.
