Effective October 1, 2025, the German competition authority will implement significant personnel and responsibility changes.

Silke Hossenfelder, previously head of the Policy Department, will take over as head of the 6th Decision Division. Meanwhile, Dr. Kallfaß, formerly head of B6, will lead the Policy Department.

The antitrust responsibilities for sectors including ships, aircraft, railways, and military equipment will transfer from the 4th Decision Division to the 11th Decision Division. However, the cross-sector special responsibility for patents and licenses will remain with the 4th Decision Division.

Additionally, the antitrust jurisdiction for the manufacturing of other vehicles will be fully assigned to the 11th Decision Division.
