This year's Kartellrecht Moot Court saw ten teams of students demonstrate their rhetorical and legal expertise in a fictional cartel court setting. Participants were challenged not only on their antitrust knowledge but also on their understanding of cryptocurrency networks, reflecting the evolving landscape of competition law.
The teams were supported by prestigious law firms, including Schima Mayer Starlinger, EY Law, Cerha Hempel, and others, who assisted them in preparing their written submissions and oral arguments. The competition emphasized the importance of teamwork, spontaneity, and effective time management during the oral hearings.
The jury, composed of distinguished legal professionals, evaluated the teams based on their factual and legal analysis, argumentation skills, and overall performance. Ultimately, Team 3, mentored by Cerha Hempel, emerged as the best team, while Ronja Endfellner from Team 8 was recognized as the Best Speaker for her outstanding performance.
The event not only highlighted the students' deep understanding of competition law but also their ability to engage with complex legal issues, setting a high standard for future competitions.
