The Czech competition authority, ÚOHS, has granted approval for the merger between SWO s.r.o., controlled by HAUK s.r.o., and its competitor KARSIT s.r.o. The decision was made without any conditions, confirming that the merger does not raise concerns about significant disruption to competition.

SWO specializes in manufacturing parts and components for motor vehicles, focusing on processes such as stamping sheet metal parts, welding panel parts and assemblies, surface treatments, and the production of interior components, including subassemblies like braking systems.

KARSIT also produces metal parts and components for motor vehicles, with a focus on similar manufacturing processes, including stamping, welding, surface treatments, and the production of seat frames. Prior to the merger, KARSIT was exclusively controlled by KARSIT GROUP SE.

The merger was assessed by ÚOHS under a simplified procedure, indicating a straightforward review process due to the lack of competition concerns.
