The CNMC has raised concerns regarding the municipality of Vejer de la Frontera in Cádiz, which has mandated an operator to provide additional documentation to prove that their fiber optic installation complies with urban planning regulations and public domain usage.

Despite having an approved deployment plan, the operator is still required to adhere to local urban regulations. The CNMC points out that the requested information may already be included in the technical report submitted by the operator or may be available with the municipality itself.

The authority emphasizes the need for public administrations to minimize bureaucratic burdens and to justify any additional requirements imposed on operators.
