The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has authorized the Uniting Church to collectively acquire insurance, believing it will provide public benefits.

On 15 April 2026, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a final determination granting authorisation to The Uniting Church in Australia National Assembly (UCANA). This authorisation allows UCANA and other participants to implement the Uniting Church in Australia National Insurance Program Co-Operation Agreement.

The ACCC assessed the proposed conduct and concluded that it is likely to yield public benefits that outweigh any potential public detriment. As a result, the ACCC has granted this authorisation for a period of six years.

For further details, interested parties can refer to the ACCC's public register.
