Willy Bogner GmbH is the parent company of the Bogner Group, which produces and sells clothing under the brands 'Bogner' and 'Bogner Fire+Ice'.

The Katjes Group is a well-known German confectionery manufacturer, primarily recognized for its gummy candies and licorice products. The authority's president, Andreas Mundt, stated that the merger raised no concerns as the economic activities of the involved parties do not overlap competitively.

The approval process was notably swift, with the Bundeskartellamt managing to clear the merger in just a few days without bureaucratic hurdles.
